  • Verification
  • Experience of SoC designs
  • Good Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Teamworking and Flexibility

Desirable Attributes:

  • Synthesis
  • STA
  • DFT
  • Formal equivalence checking

ASIC Verification Engineers (contract & perm) - ref: ASIC_Verif_09

Due to the continued growth of DisplayLink and success of our products we are looking for a variety of contract ASIC Verification Engineers to verify our innovative network display ASICs.

Generally the roles will focus on implementing and maintaining state of the art block and SoC level functional verification environments using SystemVerilog and OVM. Working under the direction of the Verification Architect you will be working closely with designers and firmware engineers to develop requirements driven verification plans and to prioritise your work. You will also work closely with other verifiers to ensure high levels of Verification Components’ re-use between block level environments and between block and SoC level environments. Verification sign-off will be done via the use of Functional Coverage techniques. The role will also involve developing and maintaining SVA and PSL.

The successful candidates will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be passionate about verification and be willing to work on any part of the flow as required in this dynamic and exciting environment.

Both contract and permanent positions are available, contracts being an initial 3 months period.

  • Experience of developing verification plans from scratch
  • Experience of architecting layered, re-usable, self-checking testbenches
  • Methodology experience (e.g. OVM(preferred), AVM,  RVM, VMM, eRM, uRM or OSCI TLM)

Experience of the following verification techniques:

  • Constrained Random Testing
  • Functional Coverage
  • Assertion Based Verification and Coverage
  • Scoreboards

Digital Silicon / IC / ASIC / System Architect - Cambridge, UK (permanent) - ref: Mon_SI_1

Due to the continued growth of DisplayLink and success of our products we are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative System Architect to help take ideas into reality, providing leading products over the coming years.  You may be using the title of System Architect, ASIC Architect, or IC Architect. Whatever you are called, we do not mind! With DisplayLink you will be defining the overall design of our silicon products, making system level design decisions on areas such as Video, USB, Wi-Fi, Bus Based systems, HDMI, processor and memory blocks, looking at externally supplied soft cores and internally designed features, including the silicon micro architecture, and working closely with the host software architects to ensure a successful system product architecture.  This would make the most of your broad experience of working with many different types of ASIC related circuits and systems in the past, and more recently at the system level considering the hardware and software interactions at ASIC level and system level.  You will act as a consultant to the ASIC team, helping the designers weigh trade-offs in circuit design, reviewing the functions desired by the designers and make recommendations to help improve performance, features, yield and feasibility, as well as provide models to support system verification.

Essential experience will include at least two successful complex digital chip designs from initial concept (e.g. a Powerpoint presentation) to validated silicon, excellent communication skills, working both with designers and sales and marketing.

The successful candidate would have a demonstrable and proven experience of system level thinking, including the interaction of embedded software with the chip, the host software and the chip, and issues such as software / hardware trade offs.
