DisplayLink Releases Production Drivers For Windows MultiPoint Server 2011

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 7, 2011 – In conjunction with the official release of Microsoft’s Windows MultipPoint Server 2011 shared resource OS, DisplayLink™ Corp. has released its production drivers.

Downloadable from the DisplayLink Download Page, the DisplayLink version 5.6 drivers feature improved performance and other enhancements to complement Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 compatible thin client and zero client components.

DisplayLink’s USB virtual graphics technology leverages Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 to enable a greater than 10-seat zero-client solution – ideal for schools and other markets where a PC-per-person isn’t possible. DisplayLink software and silicon allow one host computer to connect with 10 or more separate monitors via simple USB connections, saving time and money.

“DisplayLink innovations consistently keep pace with the best consumer, education and business products from our partners,” said Dennis Crespo, executive vice president of marketing and business development at DisplayLink. “We’re committed to continuing to advance and improve DisplayLink’s software in line with our leadership in enabling zero-client solutions.”

With the release of the Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 driver support, DisplayLink continues to reinforce its leadership position in the USB connected zero client market and also shows its ongoing commitment to this growing sector. DisplayLink anticipates a variety of new zero client hardware products featuring USB graphics technology to reach the market this month.
