DisplayLink Announces Certification of New HP USB Graphics Adapter

PALO ALTO, Calif. - March 31, 2009 - DisplayLink today announced DisplayLink Certification of the new HP USB Graphics Adapter. The DisplayLink Certification Program provides complete quality assurance, compatibility and performance testing, allowing DisplayLink technology-enabled HP products to provide a seamless USB graphics experience

"HP is a brand that people trust," said Dennis Crespo, executive vice president of marketing and business development for DisplayLink.  "Combined with the DisplayLink certification, products from HP and DisplayLink provide proven compatibility, performance and complete plug-and-display simplicity.

DisplayLink technology enables the HP USB Graphics Adapter to support monitors with resolutions up to 1680 x 1050 (widescreen) or 1600 x 1200 (traditional) and will work with USB-enabled systems using the Windows® XP®, Windows Vista®, Windows Vista Aero or Windows Vista 64-bit operating systems.

"We are committed to providing our customers an enhanced user experience while helping to boost productivity," said Mitch Callihan, worldwide product marketing manager for displays at HP.  "The DisplayLink-certified HP USB graphics adapter enables quick and easy extension of a visual workspace to multiple displays."

About the HP USB Graphics Adapter
The compact and portable HP USB Graphics Adapter can be used to connect HP business desktop PCs and HP notebook PCs, including the HP Mini, to an additional HP business or consumer monitor. It can be used to connect to multiple monitors using additional adapters or via the HP USB Docking Station.  Adding displays of different sizes to a PC can boost overall desktop productivity and enjoyment:

Workspace: View large spreadsheets across two screens or multitask without overlapping windows

Presentations: Enable multiple screen presentations from one PC, connect easily to any projector through USB, avoiding connection complications and reducing set up time

Graphics houses: Use a second display for palettes or tools or a panoramic view of large documents

Editing: Edit documents on one screen and reference data on another; compare multiple documents simultaneously

Financial: Use one monitor for each data stream

The DisplayLink-certified HP USB Graphics Adapter (NL571AT) is priced at $59 and includes a quick installation guide, a USB cable, and a driver and documentation CD, as well as a one-year warranty.  More information about the USB Graphics Adapter, including the ability to purchase the product is available here.  The universal HP USB 2.0 Docking Station (FQ834UT) with DisplayLink USB graphics technology, priced at $139, is available for purchase here.
