Kernel Panic on Mac Mountain Lion with DisplayLink software installed

Symptom

When sleeping or resuming the Mac using Mountain Lion 10.8 OSX, a Kernel panic is found.

Problem

This appears to be a problem related to the new Power Nap feature. The issue happens when you turn off the bluetooth devices while the Mac is sleeping.

This is caused by a bug in the Apple Mountain Lion operating system, exposed when DisplayLink software is installed.

Solution

It appears that Apple will fix this in the next OSX update, 10.8.1. The beta of 10.8.1 has been tested and this Kernel Panic is no longer reproducible.
