DisplayLink and Partners Unveil Network Display Innovations at CES
Technology Provider Teams with Consumer Electronics Giants to Deliver Universal Connectivity for Wide Range of PCs and Monitors
PALO ALTO, CALIF. and LAS VEGAS - Jan. 7, 2008 – DisplayLink, along with partners Alereon, Kensington, LG, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba are bringing multi-monitor computing to the mainstream by showing the latest network display products and technology at 2008 International CES.
DisplayLink will also have a kiosk (Booth A-163) in the CES registration area (South Hall) where it will treat attendees to an interactive network display demo that will show the ease of use and spectacular performance of its USB graphics technology and provide an opportunity to take home one of thousands of USB graphics adapters that will be given away during the show.
On the show floor, DisplayLink partners will display new displays, notebook docks and wireless adapters based on the company’s technology. These include:
Wireless USB Graphics Adapters
- IOGEAR is previewing its Wireless USB to VGA Video Card (GUW2015V), which enables users to add a high-resolution display to a workstation through a wireless USB connection. Where to find it: IOGEAR booth 36526
- Alereon has announced the availability of a reference design for a Wireless USB display adapter that allows PCs to connect to nearby standard monitors or displays without wires while delivering beautiful image quality and instantaneously interactive performance. The winner of a CES Innovations 2008 Award, the Samsung SyncMaster 2263DX is a widescreen 22-inch LCD monitor that leverages Samsung's UbiSync technology for USB connectivity to a PC. The SyncMaster 2263DX is combined with an innovative 7-inch LCD monitor, that attaches to the main monitor for convenient display of IM or Skype windows or other small-scale applications.
