    Due to the continued growth of DisplayLink and success of our products we will be looking for experienced ASIC Engineers to design and implement our innovative network display products. The roles will focus on block design and implementation, but may also involve other parts of the flow from specification and RTL design of modules for use in ASIC or FPGA, through functional verification, synthesis and timing closure, to silicon validation and production test. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of at least one full chip development cycle, will have experience of several relevant and varied block designs targeted for ASIC, and should have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be willing to work on any part of the flow as required in this dynamic and exciting environment.

    Essential Attributes:

    • RTL design (VHDL preferred)
    • Verification
    • Experience of SoC designs
    • Good Engineering degree or equivalent
    • Teamworking and Flexibility

    Desirable Attributes:

    • Synthesis

  • Software Team Leader* - ref: TL_SW

    We are looking for an experienced and capable Windows C++ developer with proven team leading experience to help design and develop applications and core library functions for our innovative network display products. The role involves hands on design, development, implementation and testing of desktop applications, system and driver software, libraries and utilities as well as the opportunity to lead small teams of software engineers as part of larger product development and technology projects.

    The successful applicant will be able to write robust, reliable code that is appropriate for mass market consumer products, whilst also being able to turn around new designs rapidly during the prototyping phase. We are looking for a strong, proactive team player, who is able to communicate at all levels, to lead by example and to drive and motivate team members to deliver to agreed time and quality targets.

    We require solid experience of development with Visual C++ and Win32 in a multi-threaded environment, and proven experience of developing innovative, robust and usable applications. Knowledge of networking, graphics and real-time programming is highly desirable. Some experience of successfully leading small software engineering teams will be required, and experience with coaching junior team members would be of benefit.

    The role involves working in small to medium size teams having both a product and technology focus, with an expectation of working to agreed deadlines. A good, working knowledge of Agile software development processes and methodologies (SCRUM / XP), would be an advantage.

  • Senior ASIC Verification Engineer* - ref: SNRASICVERIF2010

    We are looking for a very experienced ASIC Verification Engineer to verify our innovative network display ASICs. The role will focus on defining and implementing an SoC verification methodology using next generation verification techniques including high level verification languages.
    The role may also involve many or all parts of the flow from block or system level specification and RTL design of modules for use in ASIC or FPGA, through functional verification, synthesis and timing closure, to silicon validation and production test.
    The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be passionate about verification, and will be key to setting up a new verification environment to allow us to successfully produce next generation ASICs, and be willing to work on any part of the flow as required in this dynamic and exciting environment.
    Essential attributes include:
    Significant High-level Verification Language experience in SystemVerilog
    Experience of the following verification techniques:
    BFMs
    Assertion based verification
    Random test benches
    Functional coverage
    Experience of SoC designs
    RTL design (VHDL or Verilog)
